1. Who we are

Intent Limited is the data controller for personal data collected through intenthq.com and intent.one. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 07220983) with our registered office at 6th Floor, 33 Kingsway, London WC2B 6UF, United Kingdom.

Intent builds privacy-preserving behavioural intelligence technology. Privacy is not an afterthought in our business. It is the architecture.

2. What we collect on these websites

We collect minimal data. These websites do not use third-party advertising trackers, behavioural analytics pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies.

If you submit the sign-up form on intent.one, we collect the information you provide: name, company, email address, and stated business objective. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry.

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, company, and message. This is processed to respond to your request and then retained only as long as necessary for that purpose.

Some interactive features — the genome filtering system, ROI calculator, and Answers interface — store temporary state in your browser session to preserve context as you navigate. This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to Intent.

3. Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our sites. We do not build individual visitor profiles or share analytics data with third parties for advertising purposes.

We use Plausible Analytics (privacy-respecting, cookieless) and Google Tag Manager to measure site usage and improve the experience. Google Tag Manager may load additional scripts configured by Intent for analytics and performance measurement. No data collected through these tools is used for personalised advertising or sold to third parties.

4. Our product and privacy

Intent's product (IntentOne) processes behavioural signals on-device. No personal data is transmitted to the cloud. Our Privacy Twin architecture generates anonymised behavioural profiles that cannot be re-identified.

The product's privacy architecture is structural, not procedural. The data needed to identify an individual never exists in our systems. For technical details, see our Deep Privacy page.

5. Cookies and consent

We group cookies and similar technologies into three categories: Essential (theme preference, session state, cookieless page analytics), Analytics (Google Analytics, aggregate usage signals), and Marketing (company identification, form tracking). You control which non-essential categories are active.

On your first visit, a consent banner allows you to accept all, reject all, or manage preferences by category. You can change your choices at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the site footer. Your preferences are stored in your browser and expire after 180 days, at which point you will be prompted again.

We do not set retargeting cookies or cookies used for personalised advertising.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share personal data with service providers who assist in operating our websites, subject to contractual data protection obligations. We share aggregated, anonymised information where it serves a legitimate business purpose.

7. International transfers

Personal data collected through these websites is primarily stored within the United Kingdom and European Economic Area.

Where transfers outside the UK/EEA are necessary (for example, to service providers), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the relevant data protection authorities.

8. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. Contact form submissions and sign-up enquiries are retained for the duration of the business relationship or enquiry, then securely deleted.

Browser session data (theme preferences, filter state) is controlled by you and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

10. Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent legislation, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you. Rectify inaccurate data. Request erasure of your data. Restrict or object to processing. Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format. Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@intenthq.com. We will respond within 30 days.

11. Security and certifications

Intent is SOC 2 Type II certified and ISO 27001 certified. We apply these security standards to our website infrastructure as well as our product.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be indicated by updating the date at the top of this page. We will not reduce your rights under this policy without your consent.

13. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, contact us at privacy@intenthq.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
